Every aquarium keeper wants something bright and beautiful for their tank, and one of the best options to fill this need is the Scolymia coral. Scolymias, also known as Scolys, are large polyp stony corals, shaped like discs, that are available in a wide range of intense, neon colors. In addition to their neon corals, it’s also very interesting to watch these corals feed, as they open up and extend their tentacles to catch food from the water, making them not only a gorgeous member of the aquarium but also an entertaining one.

Aquarists might start with a single Scoly, but they’ll probably fall in love with the many color varieties available and want more. Having a few of these bright, beautiful corals is definitely not a bad idea, though. Scolymia coral care isn’t difficult, and as long as they’re provided with the right amount of space, these corals can add beautiful colour in the home aquarium
